Victoria Nimmo
I am an Assistant Teaching Professor in the Department of Geography. I teach Undergraduate level courses, with a focus on physical geography.
My research interests are focus on plant functional trait expression, and how plant trait expressions change in response to environmental conditions. Specifically, plant-soil interactions within organic agriculture applications has been my most recent research area. Prior to this I focused on carbon fluxes within natural and managed environments, looking at a suite of potential future climate scenarios for peatlands and boreal forest areas and how this may alter net carbon fluxes within these critical ecosystems. I received my PhD from the University of Toronto, and my MSc from Memorial University in Newfoundland.
